The Native Youth Centre will be the first facility of its kind in North America — a purpose-built, regional hub, where Indigenous youth access the resources, programs, and services that will help them reach their fullest potential.

The centre will offer a diverse continuum of culturally informed, youth-focused programs and services, including: a health and wellness centre, alternative school programs, recreation facilities, social enterprise, spiritual and ceremonial spaces, an arts studio, and more.
This will be a place where Indigenous youth can meaningfully engage with their community, build confidence, develop knowledge, life, leadership and employment skills, and feel that they belong. Our vision is for a 50,000-square-foot Indigenous youth hub at the corner of East Hastings and Commercial Drive, in the heart of the urban Indigenous community.
In addition to these programs and services, UNYA is working with the City of Vancouver to create an affordable housing project, co-located with the Native Youth Centre. This project targets 180 homes, with housing priority given to Indigenous youth and their families. Our shared vision for this complementary housing component is to create a supportive intergenerational community.
