Charity Bentwood Boxes Annual Event

Art With Purpose.
Stories with Power.

On December 6, 2025, Lattimer Gallery will Host the Annual Charity Bentwood Boxes event at the Museum of Vancouver—an extraordinary evening where Indigenous artists, donors, and community partners come together to uplift the Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) and the 24,000 Indigenous youth we connect with across Metro Vancouver each year.

This signature event shines a spotlight on hand-carved, hand-painted bentwood boxes created by some of British Columbia’s most exceptional Indigenous artists. These boxes are far more than works of art—they are vessels of culture, identity, resilience, and intergenerational storytelling.

Each of the 22 artists donates their time, heart, and talent to create a one-of-a-kind bentwood box. These remarkable pieces anchor the charity auction, which celebrates the richness and diversity of Indigenous culture while rallying vital support for UNYA’s programs and services.

Help Us Make an Impact—One Box at a Time.

The Urban Native Youth Association invites donors and partners to join us in making a lasting impact through the powerful medium of storytelling.

Every bentwood box carries a story—a weaving of Nation, lineage, teachings, and lived experience. Every carving, every brushstroke, and every design choice reflects values, heritage, and culture.

This year, 22 Indigenous artists share their stories through their work—each box an act of cultural pride, resilience, and connection.

By supporting this event, you help amplify these voices—celebrating Indigenous artistry while giving Indigenous youth the opportunity to thrive, create, and share their own stories with the world.

Each bid helps create a brighter future for Indigenous youth.
