Overly Creative Minds (OCM)

Creativity. Culture. Connection.

Who We Are

OCM is a vibrant arts and culture program for Indigenous youth ages 11 to 24. It’s more than just a program — it’s a space to explore identity, share stories, and express creativity through both traditional and contemporary art. At OCM, youth find community, build confidence, and develop leadership through the power of creativity.

  • Workshops in visual art, music, spoken word, and multimedia
  • Teachings and cultural practices with Elders and Knowledge Keepers
  • Mentorship opportunities and public exhibitions to showcase youth voices
  • Access to creative tools like drums, cameras, screen-printing equipment, and more
  • Jam sessions and music lesson programming

Our Approach

OCM is youth-led, culturally rooted, and guided by Indigenous teachings. Creativity here is more than expression — it’s a path to healing, empowerment, and connection. Through hands-on learning, storytelling, and culture, youth discover their strengths and grow as leaders.
